Engine and Performance:
The manufacturer has officially disclosed that the KUV100 will come with two engine options, which are newly developed and future emission protected. One of them is a mFALCON G80 petrol motor, which is lightweight and built with aluminum. It has a displacement capacity of 1198cc and is said to be producing 82bhp of peak power at 5500rpm along with 115Nm of torque between 3500 to 3600rpm. The other one is a mFALCON D75 oil-burner, which also displaces 1198cc. However, itgenerates 77bhp of power at 3750rpm and yields 190Nm of torque between 1750 to 2250rpm. Transmission duties of both the power plants will be handled by a five speed manual gearbox. At present, there is no information about the AMT gearbox, but we can expect it in the later stages.

Like mentioned above, this compact SUV is the second product after XUV500 to sharea monocoque chassis. Also, itshares some of its design cues in the form of rugged radiator grille and bumper. However, it has some curves on its sides, roof and rear facets rendering it a distinct stance. However, protective cladding all round gives it a typical SUV stance. Its headlight cluster has a kind ofsmoked design featured with headlamps, turn indicators and LED DRLS as well. Daytime running lights may be offered to the top end versions only. It has an over-sized front bumper with a perforated mesh for air intake. Its fenders seems to have alloy wheels, but its entry level trims should get steel rims as standard. Except the front facade, its sides and the rear facets look more like a compact hatchback. Soon after its launch, we can expect for an optional package of accessories to customize its exteriors.
